What is CDPD?
Cellular Digital Packet Data, or CDPD, provides a way to transmit data over the analog cellular telephone network. It is an application best suited for applications requiring short, bursty data transmissions, such as meter-reading, email access, and database queries. Follow this link for a primer on CDPD.
Research
My Master's research project involved constructing a computer model of a CDPD network in order to study CDPD throughput and performance under various network conditions. This page explains the project in more detail.
